"I believe in a holistic approach to riding, considering the health and soundness of the horse, the suitability of saddle and tack, and the individuality of each horse and rider. |

Do you ever run out of ideas on what to do when you ride? Wish I could be right there giving you a lesson?
Well, I almost can… with our popular series of six “Along for the Ride” Audio Lessons, I will be right there with you giving you new riding exercises to try and coaching you through the common pitfalls. |
Go through each lesson in your personal workbook, answering questions about you and your horse, and recording your thoughts and ideas while you are in the moment.
The workbook reinforces your learning by having an easy to access manual to follow along with during the course videos and to refer back to. Complete the checklist of assignments for each lesson to practice exactly what you need to move forward. |
No problem! That's included too. Send in a video for each of the six lessons and I'll give you personal help on your riding or training!
The Balanced Riding Course is the only place where I offer video coaching. You can also ask me any questions at our weekly Group Discussions and under every lesson video as you move through the course so that you can keep making progress. |
I just take weekly lessons, and I don’t own a horse… No problem, when you join BRC, you’ll also get my Mini Course Getting the Most Out of Your Riding Lessons. In this Mini Course we cover how to handle common lesson horse behavior, how to communicate with your riding instructor, tips for riding in groups and more! |
I’m a beginner… should I wait until I’m more experienced? I think new riders need the best instruction. It's a huge advantage to learn the correct way the first time and create good habits right from the start. The Balanced Riding Course is excellent for new riders, and just to make sure we’ve covered even the smallest details for you, I’ve included my Getting Started with Horses and Horse Care 101 courses. |

I feel so fortunate that the Balanced Riding Course was offered when it was. I have looked forward to seeing new videos each week. Callie has such a calm, patient, and cheerful demeanor, she makes everything seem very do-able. She breaks things down into the simplest steps, it's easy to follow the progression to success. When I encounter a teaching/learning opportunity with my horse I try to imagine how Callie would break it down and where she would start. And when I find myself being impatient I remind myself of how calm and patient Callie is and try to do the same. - Dana McEwen |
I learned so much. My confidence soared and I can go back and review when/if needed! I feel my horses and I have bonded tremendously with the positive reinforcement method. They learn so quickly this way. Thank you Callie! - Carla Covert I found the program incredibly helpful. Callie shared a wealth of information in such a pleasant, informal manner. The information was theory based however it was her use of self that kept me engaged. I look forward to having ongoing access to the videos and information. - Judith MacCuish Ryan |
I have only been riding for about 7 months and I am taking lessons, but this course has given me far more knowledge about horse behavior, training and horse riding than I received elsewhere. This course covers everything from the basics, such as how to groom a horse, to advanced riding skills. If you have watched any of Callie's videos you know that she is very clear and concise in presenting her knowledge to you. Even if you have an excellent teacher, this course will be very helpful because you can watch it over and over at your leisure without being distracted by also trying to ride the horse. To me it has been worth much more than it cost. I highly recommend this course! - George Lennox |
